θεά is a mock wine brand inspired by three Greek goddesses and the stories they represent. The name θεά (or Theá) is derived from the Ancient Greek word θεά (theá), meaning goddess. It shares its linguistic roots with θεός (theós), meaning god, and serves as the foundation for many modern English words, including theology.

Growing up in a Greek household, my culture shaped every aspect of my life, from the food we shared and the music we listened to, to the traditions and visual aesthetics that surrounded us. This project is a celebration of that heritage, exploring how I can incorporate my cultural identity into the design world while creating an opportunity for others to connect with and learn from Greek mythology.

In Greek mythology, each goddess ruled over a distinct aspect of human life or the natural world. Rather than being flawless figures, they embodied complex personalities, strengths, and flaws that made them deeply human. For this project, I focused on three iconic goddesses, Athena, Aphrodite, and Hera. Each wine label is uniquely designed to reflect the goddess's symbolism, character, and domain, translating their individual stories into a cohesive visual identity.

Athena embodies wisdom, strategy, and strength. As the protector of towns, her symbols, the owl, olive tree, and snake, represent intelligence, courage, and enduring wisdom.

Aphrodite represents beauty, love, and passion. Her symbols, the rose, dove, seashell, and swan- reflect romance, elegance, and timeless charm.

Hera is the queen of the gods and goddess of marriage, women, and birth. Her symbols, the royal scepter and pomegranate, represent power, royalty, and lasting devotion.
